Orlando (Francisco Reyes) plans a birthday surprise for his much younger partner, Marina (Daniela Vega). The gift is given to her during the romantic evening, which she spends in Santiago for supper and dances. Upon returning to the apartment, the man unexpectedly weakens. Marina takes him to the hospital where he has to confront Orlando's family and hostile health and police. As a result of the tragic events, she will have to fight for the right to her feelings, dignity and even to experience mourning.

The director of "Fantastic Woman" made a sensation, taking on the lead role of a rookie: the enchanting Daniela Vega combines sensuality with power and sensitivity with persistence. Sebastián Lelio (creator of the "Holy Family", "Tiger Year" or "Gloria") has created a heroine who, alone - and in impeccable makeup - is fighting against prejudice. Marina is a fantastic woman: she can not type in any schematic and uncompromisingly goes upstairs.

"Fantastic Woman" was the highlight of this year's Berlinale, where she brought the Chilean director of the Silver Bear for the screenplay and Teddy Award for the best LGBTQ film. The film is also a Chilean Oscar nominee for the 2018 Best Foreign Language Film category.
